Magnus Academy Chess

We've taught more than 100,000 kids chess!

Magnus Academy began as Silver Knights when a pair of brothers who grew up loving chess wanted to share their enthusiasm with kids. After ten years of teaching chess at hundreds of schools, we partnered with the world chess champion Magnus Carlsen to grow the game! We'd be excited to have your child join our academy, where kids ages 4-14 from 30+ states come to learn, have FUN, & play chess!

Learn chess with Magnus Academy, the five-time world champion’s academy! We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state & national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games. Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.

All grades and skill levels are welcome.

Students can play in tournaments outside of club time, which may have an additional fee.  All chess supplies are provided. We welcome all grades and skill levels!
