THIS EXCITING CREATIVE ARTS PROGRAM FEATURES A DYNAMIC CURRICULUM THAT CULTIVATES STUDENTS’ LANGUAGE AND MATH SKILLS, AS WELL AS SPATIAL AWARENESS AND CREATIVITY... ALL IN A FUN, INTERACTIVE, AND COLORFUL WAY!
Students create their own art portfolio with a diverse collection of their original works, and bring it home to share with family and friends!

FEATURED ACTIVITIES
Stained Glass Cup Melts
Students decorate clear plastic cups with sharpies and then bake the cups, creating beautiful art as they explore concepts of temperature and chemical reactions.
Kandinsky Art – Concentric Circles and Watercolor Circles
Students connect art and music as they arrange paper squares and concentric circles to represent the sounds of a song. Through the study of artist Wassily Kandinsky, Students will explore the expressive qualities of lines and colors.
Go Green! Recyclable Art
Students will learn how to take action to reduce, reuse and recycle for the environment. Then students will sort recyclables into categories and use them to create their own beautiful works of art.
Matisse Cut-Outs and Abstract Contact Paper Art
Students will explore the concepts of expressing their feelings through art and telling stories through colors. In this fun and exciting activity, students will use Henri Matisse’s technique of “drawing with scissors” to create abstract art out of colored foam shaped pieces.
