let's create comics! dives into the world of art, leading children grades 2-5 to design, illustrate, write, and publish: 

  • comics

  • word searches 

  • 'spot the differences' images

  • crosswords

  • word jumbles

in The final class, let's create comics! will host a “publication launch party” where we will share our comic creations with our invited guests, showcasing our work in a gallery-type atmosphere.

 

materials included in let's create comics!:

  • (2) soft lead pencils

  • (1) art eraser

  • (1) set of 12 colored pencils 

  • (1) extra fine line black Sharpie

  • Comic book layout tools (Story boards, paper, rulers, etc...)

  • Age-appropriate comics and cartoons

  • Tote bag

 

about the teacher!

Pamela Jackson has been providing arts programming for over 20 years for MCPS, programs sponsored in part with MCRD as well as the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County.

Pamela is a certified teaching artist as well as audition coach, director, and theatre teacher. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) AEA (Actor's Equity Association) does voice over work and is a precision driver for TV and Film.

Pamela is also a playwright and comic book author and illustrator.
